Barbara Bergeron, a trailblazer in rural healthcare, brings a wealth of experience to Klamath Health Partnership, where she has served since 2019. A 1976 graduate of the UC Davis School of Medicine FNP program, Barbara began her career as an RN after graduating from Santa Rosa Junior College, working three years as a critical care nurse. She went on to establish rural health clinics in Cedarville, Dorris, and Tulelake, California, spending about 18 years serving those communities. In 1997, after starting work at Southern Oregon Rural Health in Chiloquin and learning the clinic was being defunded, Barbara and her husband, also an FNP, secured funding to found Klamath Health Partnership. After leaving in 2005 to work locums and other roles, she returned to KHP, continuing her legacy of compassionate care and dedication to rural communities.
